I had the amazing pleasure of photographing a fabulous engagement...
The fiance and myself concocted the sweetest plan.
THE SET-UP: the fiance, Markus, tells his girlfriend, Aria, that they are going to a business dinner and to dress up. Markus gets a fake phone call on the way over to the 'business dinner' stating that the event is starting an hour later and to kill some time they should stop over at Atwater Beach & Park to walk around.
ME UNDERCOVER: a nature photographer at Atwater Beach & Park just hanging out on a beautiful Sunday taking pix of ... the water I guess.. haha
WHAT HAPPENS: the second they are walking the long staircase down to the beach I spot them. I casually start focusing my shooting more on them. As soon as they got to the beach I start to become more and more obvious that I am shooting them... being very weird and awkward. This immediately gets Aria very concerned and says something to Markus... then and there he says, 'Well that's because...' and gets down on one knee and pops that ultra special question. The rest is history. We finished off that amazing afternoon with a beautiful engagement session full of champagne and laughter.

Gloss has introduced another option to proofing your portraits in 2008. This beautiful proof book [if you can even call it that] is more of a mini album than anything else. We know everyone will be using this as an amazing brag book to throw in your purse or keep at your nightstand. The new books have a frosted front and back cover. The first print page is an enhanced portrait and client's name. The logo has been moved to the bottom of the page to become less distracting. We are hopeful this new placement will miss most heads and other important details. Bound in our metal binding wrapped in ribbon. The book is packaged in a delicate organza bag to keep from scratches and bending. Inquire about requirements and fees.
*Personal proofing websites are still the primary proofing method.

OK... So I have been absent from the blogging world for a few minutes.
Maybe its been more like a month... opps.
Well I am back... and back for good. (holding up three little Girl Scout
fingers) I promise to work very hard to produce daily posts to
keep you updated with the exciting news of the studio and myself.
Today's post will be all about Jaci, Jaci, Jaci. That's right. It's
about time for you to know a thing or two about me.
A few of my favorite things...
- red tulips
- sushi
- things that sparkle
- photography [duh]
- my cats: Dolce, Louis, & Coco
- designer purses [it is such an addiction. hence my kitties names]
- Big Brother [a serious fan]
- Juno
- my husband, Sam
- the smell of Aveda
- burning oils
- wine
- the color, red
- getting my hair 'did at the Establishment
- shopping at SHOP in Shorewood
- Starbucks
- DVR/TiVo
- MAC Cosmetics
A few of my not so favorite things...
- getting waxed by Annie at the Establishment[although she's amazing]
- cucumbers
- celery
- scallops [I think I am allergic]
- reading aloud
- camping
- texting [I don't know how to do it]
- people who wear sunglasses indoors [yes, I am guilty of this sometimes]
